A Dream Of A Cowboy (notes)

There’s a Stetson on my nightstand
with gallons worth of head
a holster filled with sixguns
lays smoking on my bed
a lonesome western outlaw
is a rockin’ in my chair
scratching up my parquet
with his careless spurs
He smells of sage and whiskey
and rose of San Antoine
his mouth organ plays songs forlorn
of the tumbleweeds of home.
